Accepting applications for Claysburg Grants
The JUEZ is now accepting applications for the Claysburg Residential Home Improvement Program.
This grant program helps to fulfill the JUEZ’s goal for neighborhood stabilization and enhancement by providing support and assistance to existing neighborhoods within the Zone in an effort to enhance the livability of Zone neighborhoods. As defined in the JUEA’s neighborhood stabilization goal the objectives of this grant program are:
Alleviate blighting conditions that hinder zone development and help to attract new investment or new residents.
Stabilize zone neighborhoods and the housing stock.
Aesthetically improve neighborhoods in the zone.
Grant will be awarded by need, cost 100% paid for property occupied homeowner, 50/50% for rental property. The award shall not exceed $10,000.00 per occupied homeowner application or $5,000.00 per rental property application.
Project suggestions: repairs of roof, windows, porch, some landscape (i.e. remove tree).
Only exterior repairs or improvements are eligible under the program.
